We began capturing 360 Panoramas for weddings and events back in 2006, inspired by Hans Nyberg's incredible panoramas of the Danish Royal Wedding. Now that Facebook, VIMEO, and YouTube all support 360 VR Panoramas for both still and video, we renewed our passion and excitement for this unique way to capture any environment in a very unique and compelling way. Below is our first wedding panoramic movie, created by our tiny, venerable Xiaomi Mijia Mi Sphere 360 camera. Congrats to our wonderful couple Katie & Randy, who were married at the Blue Sky Terrace in Lake Tahoe, CA!

Kelsey & Ryan's wedding was not only unique because it was held at a gorgeous private Lake Tahoe estate, but because I was hobbled by a knee injury I had sustained a few weeks earlier playing tennis with my son. Getting around on the uneven Tahoe terrain and sandy beach was sometimes challenging, but filming was made so much easier by the patience and encouragement of the wedding professionals we worked with at the event. What you see in the short film above not only represents our visual artistry, but also the phenomenal talents of the team of vendors chosen by the couple for their epic day:
Event Design and Coordination: Jenn Robirds, Jenn Robirds Events
Photographer: Charleton Churchill
DJ & Lighting: Mike Regan,.MR DJ Event Services
Makeup: Shana Beals , Makeup & Skin by Shana
Reception Caterer: Randy Peters Catering and Events
Florist: Brandie, B&B Designs
Cake: Sarah, Flour Girl Bakery
A few days ago I edited one of our beautiful Lake Tahoe weddings. Unfortunately, the wedding photographer seemed oblivious to the fact that the bride had also paid for wedding cinematography. At critical points of the ceremony and reception, the photographer jumped into our shots (completely blocking our cameras) to get his own, despite the fact that we communicated with this photographer prior to the events where we would be filming from.
We LOVE working with most wedding photographers, and make every effort to work as a team to get the best possible stills and video for our bride and groom. When the photographer and cinematographer work together, there can be a wonderful synergy that improves the work of both. At a wedding last week at the Grand Island Mansion, we filmed the photo session in the front of the Mansion. It was dark and I could tell that our talented photographer Amy (from Amy Carr Photography) was having a difficult time focusing some of her shots, so I brought out a small video light and used my 2nd shooter as a lighting assistant for both of us (see still captured from video below). Amy was able to get some SPECTACULAR back lit shots, and so was I:)
Beth was so radiant on her wedding day this film was easier than most to film and edit. ...and how can you ask for a more beautiful backdrop than the Sierra Nevada Mountains! Many thanks to all the wedding professionals that made this day perfect for Beth and Josh:
We recently finished editing the incredible wedding of Jennifer & Kelly, which was held at the Resort at Squaw Creek in Squaw Valley, California. It was our first wedding in Squaw Valley, and I knew that the open, forested local would be perfect for our small RC quadcopter!
