Weddings filmed for close relatives are often produced as a labor of love 💕 as this wedding sneak peak trailer was...but it's good to know that if they don't like it you can always give them their money back:) Congratulations to my wonderful nephew David Jensen and his beautiful new bride Ariana Martin who were married recently at the Sacramento LDS Temple in Folsom, CA.

Halley & Chris were married at one of our favorite venues- the overlook at the Forest House Lodge in Foresthill, California. Filming in the Sierra Nevada Mountains is a great change of pace from the weddings we film in Sacramento. The love they have for each other is easy to see in their heartfelt ceremony vows.
I've always loved to play the game of Scrabble, though my Grandmother, Sisters, and Father routinely beat me using words I've never heard and often can't pronounce. This week I had an flash of inspiration: describe to our readers the many services we offer at Jensen Films through a scrabble board. We started in 1991 with one humble SVHS video camera. Since those humbe beginnings, we have grown to offering a wide variety of media services, such as Live Streaming, 360 degree Virtual Reality Panoramas, 8mm Film, Drones...and the list goes on! While we began by offering only wedding and event cinematography, much of our work is now also corporate, for companies such as Dignity Health, UPS, and Intel.
I created my first wedding panorama in 2004, inspired by Hans Nyberg's stunning 360's of the Royal Danish Wedding. Now that Facebook has enables VR content on it's posts, we have much renewed interest from our wedding couples in creating 360° wedding panoramas. Click on the link below to view a beautiful panorama of Kari & Nick's wedding at The Monte Verde Inn near Auburn, CA.

We have been honored to receive several national and international awards for our wedding films over the last 25 years. But the greatest compliment of our work comes from our wonderful clients. This Wedding Wire review from the mother of a recent bride married at the Catta Verdera Country Club:
One of the most popular add-on's to our regular video packages at Jensen Films are our WEDDING MUSIC VIDEO's. We bring an extra shooter to the wedding to get lip-sync of the wedding party and guests. The result is a spectacular 2-3 minute MTV style music video that involves all wedding attendees. Filming Matt & Amy's music video on the wedding day at The Grand Island Mansion was very unobtrusive- We only need about 10 minutes with the guests after the ceremony. If you would like to know more about these high impact edits, please contact us!
our dear friend Sandy Wilson, Owner of Wilson Vineyards writes:
"Chapel of Love" - a hit 50's song by the Dixie Cups no longer rings true for many wedding couples. When we first started filming weddings in Sacramento and in Northern California almost 25 years ago, most couples were married in a chapel with a priest or pastor. A recent study found that most brides and grooms prefer to get married in a secular location, such as rustic barns, country clubs or at the courthouse. In this study, millennials chose a secular location 55% of the time. The study was done by Dan Cox at the Public Religion Research Institute and reported at Yahoo News.
One of my favorite parts of creating beautiful wedding films are the responses from our wedding couples after viewing their wedding films' for the first time. Here is Missy's response to her Monte Verde Inn Wedding:
In every lasting relationship there are sacrifices to be made. As part of his wedding vows, Brian admitted to Christa that she was even more important than his beloved Steelers:) They were wed at St. Joseph Morello Cathoic Church, and the wedding reception was held at the Morgan Creek Golf Club. This short film was edited in super wide 1:235 cinematic aspect ratio,
I love the pageantry and fabulous colors at the Indian Weddings we occasionally film. One of my favorite weddings of 2014 year featured Devin arriving to meet his bride on a horse, surrounded by enthusiastic family and friends.
We have been blessed to have filmed many weddings during the Holiday Season. Merlou and Ryan planned their wedding between Christmas and New Year's- December 28. The Holidays remind us of God's magnificent gifts to each of us, and draw us closer to dear family and friends. Those feelings were certainly in abundance at the wedding of Merlou and Ryan- who were married in Sacramento at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. The Reception was held at the Grand Ballroom.
One of the few items on my bucket list was to film a bride an groom in a large field of mustard seed. Brian and Christa we good sports, and wandered through the field until we could capture some stunning imagery from our cameras. The Love Story was filmed in the Elverta/Antelope area and at Gibson Ranch. Brian's last minute proposal on the Disney Cruise Ship was memorable.
One of my favorite moments of Alysssa and Eric's wedding day was one of the flower girls falling down as Alyssa was walking down the aisle. This was truly a a magical day! Many thanks to photographer Steve Anthony, DJ Larry Burow from Extreme Entertainment, and the helpful staff at the Forest House Lodge.
In over 1000 wedding ceremonies I've filmed over the last 20 years, this one was probably the hottest- 108 degrees at the wedding site. No amount of hydration seemed to help, and I was worried about our gear heating up and failing in the direct sunlight. But we made it through, and ended up with some fabulous footage of the day! Filmed in Auburn, CA. Some thoughts from the Mother of the Bride:
I just watched the short video again for the 5th time, it is so beautiful I just can’t stop! I really appreciate your artistry, the way you incorporated the audio with such sensitivity. You captured so many beautiful angles and integrated them into a lovely composition. I want you to know that I really appreciate all that has gone into this amazing video, what a treasure! Thank you so much for doing such an amazing job and especially considering once again (dare we mention it!) 108 degree weather!
We recently filmed Merlou and Ryan's Catholic wedding at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in midtown Sacramento. I've filmed her over 30 weddings at the Cathedral and each time I try and get a unique angle I've never shot before. This time, I brought our 20 foot-high mast and set it up discretely near one of the huge pillars with my tiny GoPro 3 Camera on top. The second video was captured later using the same technique at the reception at the Grand Ballroom a few blocks away. I think the results were spectacular. Below are still frames from the HD video captured by the GoPro:

Did I mention we film some of the most creative wedding couples? Missy and Matt met playing soccer at Sacramento State. Matt later played professionally. Their wedding photographer Jessica Stout captured the perfect shot that Missy and Matt envisioned. The typography was done at WeddingPaperDivas.com. We look forward to filming Matt and Missy's fabulous wedding at the Monte Verde Inn, near Auburn next June.
